Industry: Banking Summary about BSN: BSN established under Ministry of Finance on 1 December 1974 in the purpose of to encourage citizen of Malaysia to save, invest and financial management to archive better lifestyle. Currently, with more than 5000 staffs and 380 branches nationwide, BSN manage more than 7 Million accounts holder with total saving more than RM 8 Billion.

Business Challenge:

BSN needed a centralize solution that allow administrator to manage their desktop, windows patches and application patches from Headquarters remotely. Before desktop management implemented in BSN, administrator from HQ would need to prepare a CD which contain of latest windows patches and the latest banking application. Then, the CD would need to be distributed to every state in Malaysia for manual update. Besides, BSN IT Audit will need to travel manually to every branch to perform PC Audits every twice a year. By doing that, BSN is paying a high price in order to support those activities monthly.

Outcome:

BSN Head of Infrastructure and Support Department, En. Mohamad Mustapha decide to implement TCO!stream Desktop Management System on July, 2007 for around-the-clock manage of desktop, and patches deployment.

TCO!stream stated with implementation to ALL PC in BSN HQ and further deploy to the branches few months after HQ implementation.

After TCO!stream is fully deploy onto all desktop in BSN, BSN IT Administrator, En. Zaharuddin and his team able to give support via remotely from their PC. Now, windows and application patches are deployed centralize.

As the Assistant Head of Network Infrastructure and support department, Pn. Wan Noridah always the key person who involve in IT budget and expenses. By implementing TCO!stream, BSN can save a huge amount of money every month since their staffs do not need to travel so much for patch, application deployment and support.
