Phantosys - Desktop Virtualization System

What is Desktop Virtualization?

Traditional Desktop

Desktop virtualization (sometimes called client virtualization), is a concept of separates a PC desktop environment (Operating System & Applications) from a physical machine using a client–server model of computing. The model stores the resulting "virtualized" desktop on a remote central server, instead of on the local storage of a remote client; thus, when users work from their remote desktop client, all of the programs, applications, processes, and data used are kept and run centrally.

Why Do We Need To Virtualized Desktop?

Today, individual desktops are hard-coded combinations of Hardware, OS, Applications, and Data (such as user settings, files and etcs), and managed one-by-one on an ongoing basis. OS corrupt, blue screen, Windows component missing and viruses use to be a dilemma to IT administrator. While for application layers, patches update application version upgrade, miss configuration or application corrupted had reduced the efficiency of IT daily operations.

Many IT organizations we speak to are looking at desktop virtualization to upgrade their entire approach to manage their desktop. IT executives are looking for a better way to address the varying needs of enterprise users.

Phantosys: Desktop Virtualized System allow administrator to separate the applications and operating system from the hardware. They (OS + Applications) can be store into the server as an image. Now, administrators able to perform OS recovery, OS deployment, Application deployment or patches upgrade, version upgrade from the Server.
